Karin & Co.

Karin Unger is the president of  communications consultancy, Karin & Co.  Karin is a senior-level communications strategist with nearly 25 years of communications and brand marketing experience within a variety of industries.  Her core capabilities include media relations, media strategy, messaging, crisis communications and collateral development. 

In her role as a communications professional, Karin has worked with major national media outlets securing feature print stories, national television and radio coverage and local regional medias opportunities for clients across multiple industries.  She has also worked with government agencies and offices on policy development and transparency while working for an education finance company.

Karin has held senior-level positions with public companies including MRU Holdings, Inc. (Vice President, Public Relations and Education Ambassador), GEE Media (Communications Representative), Hitachi Medical (Marketing Communications Manager).  She served as Managing Director of the Agency of Record for Jaguar and Land Rover North America, as well as senior roles at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and Schwartz PR.

In 2015, Karin authored a chapter in a book titled "Aging Out" to raise awareness for the plight of young adults who "age out" of the foster care system in Los Angeles County. Karin also works with various organizations on a pro-bono basis to assist with various initiatives to aid in fundraising and special events. She has worked with the Hermosa 24, which raised funds for local after school programs, and the Alliance for Children's Rights on their annual holiday party to bring Christmas cheer to foster children and families.
